Cookies and milk
Yesterday, it was raining a lot. So we decided together to cook in the kitchen. We took the last vegetables from the garden, to make some cans for the winter; we also reserved an half pumpink to prepare today's soup.
With the raw milk of the cows, we made some fresh cheese. We will eat it tomorrow as a perfect add to bread, the other part shall be stored in a dry and cold place to become harder cheese.
Separating milk from lactoserum gave us some reason to cook someting different. We can indeed use sour milk (also called buttermilk if it comes from cream turned into butter) to bake biscuits. These contain no sugar, and can be eaten with milk and honey, as well as a salted light meal. It's very easy to prepare them with children.
Cooking is always a way to preserve harmony and to keep in touch with relatives. This is true when it's made, but also when it will be shared. In family, everybody can come with his talents, and help as he can, no matter what age he is. During a rainy day, everyone can be warmed with the oven's warm, and hearts company...
Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread (1Co10,17)
